When I showed up to interview Vince Salandria in 2016 at his office at the Philadelphia Unified School District, he had a prepared statement he wanted to read to the camera. I knew this probably wasn’t going to fit in the movie with him holding up the papers and reading from them, but it was clearly important to record anyway.
He wrote this statement specifically for our interview and I believe it is the last thing he wrote on the assassination before his death in 2020.
At the time, I didn’t know that he considered the Paines such critical characters in the assassination saga and that he had actually spoken to them in person.
